Hi,

I have been struck by the same problem. It seems that installing
alsa-utils 1.1.7-1 creates some broken links in /etc/alsa/conf.d,
pointing to non-existent configuration files in
/usr/share/alsa/something. Applications using alsa fail because the
links are broken. Maybe the new version installs some new configuration
files and the maintainer forgot to update the installation scripts?

Thanks, Giovanni.
