Control: severity -1 serious Hi Matthew & Reiner!
Due to this bug, merely installing the surf package on a default Debian testing/sid system breaks unrelated functionality, which is RC ⇒ bumping severity. FYI I'll file another bug today about an incompatibility of the shipped AppArmor policy with an upcoming upload of apparmor-profiles-extra. We'll need to version the dependency on apparmor-profiles-extra and to drop a few rules (that were added to the gstreamer abstration) from the policy. And about the proposed patch: Regarding moving the policy to a new, dedicated package: if that policy breaks functionality or the maintainers don't wish to support it, fine; otherwise, I'd rather see it installed by default. > + This package provides an Apparmor policy for confining Surf. s/Apparmor/AppArmor/ :) Cheers, -- intrigeri
