Control: retitle -1 tomboy: Intent to remove from Debian On Sat, Oct 13, 2018 at 3:21 PM Jeremy Bicha <jbi...@debian.org> wrote: > I suggest that its maintainers strongly consider removing tomboy from > Debian now as part of the libgnome removal process.
I am updating the bug title to indicate that I will ask for tomboy's removal from Debian soon unless its maintainers object. I have filed similar bugs for the other packages that depend on gnome-sharp2. Tomboy has 2 other alternatives that are being maintained upstream: gnote - a rewrite in C++ tomboy-ng - a rewrite in Pascal not packaged in Debian yet https://github.com/tomboy-notes/tomboy-ng The upstream README for tomboy now recommends tomboy-ng. I guess someone could package tomboy-ng (possibly even reusing the tomboy source package name), but I don't have any experience with Pascal and I don't plan on packaging it. Thanks, Jeremy Bicha
