No. I'm delegating this decision to you. There is no upstream. There is no Debian maintainer. You're the closest we have to either one of those for this package. By creating these patches, you are making a statement that you believe these apps are worth saving. Otherwise, I or someone else would eventually file removal bugs for all these packages.
