Package: surf Version: 2.0+git20180223-1~bpo9+1 Severity: important surf 2.0 is installed from stretch-backports, and found that ^G cannot open dmenu for input URL. I tried on two machines and both had the same issue.
I suspect the issue is because the latest suckless-tool is not in the backports. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages surf depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.22.0-1 ii libc6 2.24-11+deb9u3 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.14.8-1 ii libcairo2 1.14.8-1 ii libgck-1-0 3.20.0-5.1 ii libgcr-base-3-1 3.20.0-5.1 ii libgcr-ui-3-1 3.20.0-5.1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.36.5-2+deb9u2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.3-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.22.11-1 ii libjavascriptcoregtk-4.0-18 2.22.2-1~bpo9+1 ii libp11-kit0 0.23.3-2 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.40.5-1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.40.5-1 ii libsoup2.4-1 2.56.0-2+deb9u2 ii libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 2.22.2-1~bpo9+1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.4-3 Versions of packages surf recommends: ii curl 7.52.1-5+deb9u7 ii rxvt-unicode-256color [x-terminal-emulator] 9.22-1+b1 ii stterm [x-terminal-emulator] 0.6-1 ii suckless-tools 42-2 ii x11-utils 7.7+3+b1 ii xterm [x-terminal-emulator] 327-2 Versions of packages surf suggests: pn apparmor <none> pn apparmor-profiles-extra <none> -- no debconf information
