Dear Maintainer, Since this bug is blocking at least two packages that I'm aware of [0][1] from migrating to testing, I think that it should be severity important. I'm happy to assist with upgrading to the newly-packaged pyside2 [2] but I have very limited Python proficiency. If the work required is essentially typical packaging work, I'll be happy to help so just let me know!
