Package: snort Version: 2.9.7.0-5 Severity: normal Hello,
i did use snort before and i always get an nice daily email with an report. But in debian stretch i get nothing and in /var/log/snort i only get an unreadable logfile. How can i read the logfile? It seems that this entries in /etc/snort/snort.debian.conf/ are useless: DEBIAN_SNORT_SEND_STATS="true" DEBIAN_SNORT_STATS_RCPT="root" DEBIAN_SNORT_STATS_THRESHOLD="1" What must be done to get an daily report as email?
