After today's update, I took the plunge and removed -

Looks like variety doesn't understand svg files :(
Seems the scripts are not regenerated and guess variety has to be
purged and installed as new .
Did that and still came with the error above.
Also nice to see variety using libayatana-appindicator instead of the
way out appindicator.
