No. I was using inetutils-inetd, which provides netkit-inetd and installs in /etc/init.d/inetutils-inetd. This could have caused the problem. It is a separate bug, however. I can't give more details on this one currently and am more concerned about the former (failure in postrm) which is release-critical. -- .''`.
