Package: firefox Version: 62.0-1 Severity: normal I believe this happens since 62.0 (not fully sure about this). I reproduced this with a fresh profile and with no extensions active and also for a fresh Linux user account.
Firefox keeps restoring the same search engines again after firefox restart. This means search engines that I deleted appear again and the ones that I modified (e.g. adding a shortcut) are reset to their original state. In detail: When I delete all search engines but one the following get restored (I guess the engines relate to my DE localization): Amazon.de, Debian packages, Ecosia, LEO Eng-Deu, Wikipedia (de). If I delete any of these search engines they reappear after firefox restart. I am unable to add shortcuts for Amazon.de, Ecosia, LEO and Wikipedia as the shortcuts are removed after restart. Additional search engines I installed are not touched, including the Debian package search installed by the deb.
