I've just successfully compiled (and started) 0.22.3-2 with the patch above.It works, but not suitable for daily usage (no screen rotation, multiple glitches and artefacts, slow response for some apps)
it broke X11 support for my own setup.
But it doesn't break X11 support for me -- sergio.
