That means if you try to install both packages at the same time dpkg would refuse. Your system would be left in an inconsistent state and that is a serious bug in Debian. The xul-* packages will be useless as soon as the new Firefox ESR version enters stable. It is absolutely correct how it is implemented at the moment. We simply do not support a use case where you can have a version of Firefox installed that supports xul extensions and another Firefox version that supports webext extensions at the same time. I may backport the ublock-origin webextension to stable but xul- and web extensions will never be co-installable in Debian. Regards, Markus
