Qucs is an integrated circuit simulator which means you are able to setup a circuit with a graphical user interface (GUI) and simulate the large-signal, small-signal and noise behaviour of the circuit. After that simulation has finished you can view the simulation results on a presentation page or window. In relation to other programs of this type, it is easy to use and can be used both in science and education. According to SourceForge statistics it's quite popular (above 1800 downloads this week). It can be built using modern libraries, I managed to build it for the current version of Arch Linux using AUR https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qucs/. Unfortunately I lack the skills to get to build a package for Debian.
