Package: esptool Version: 2.1+dfsg1-2 Severity: important Tags: upstream Please update this package to a more recent upstream, it is not reliable for development with current Espressif SDKs for the ESP8266 and I find I waste a lot of time with bad flashes or image creation that work just fine with the upstream esptool.py. 2.5 is now current, but 2.4 fixes compatibility with recent bootloaders.
