Dear maintainer of guake-indicator,Please switch your package to Ayatana AppIndicator. I was about to work on a patch for that shift, but this package seems in an unmaintained state and the packaging and the upstream code feel awkward (configure.ac looks nasty, wants GTK-2, debian/control has a B-D for GTK-3, etc.).
Please let me know, if you plan to continue maintenance of this package in the future, please give it some love. If you need help with working on a patch for building against Ayatana AppIndicator, please let me know.
