Current versions blacklist at least these devices by default: devnode "^(ram|raw|loop|fd|md|dm-|sr|scd|st|dcssblk)[0-9]" devnode "^(td|hd|vd)[a-z]" devnode "^cciss!c[0-9]d[0-9]*" Plus a lot of storage device exports. Maybe this is good enough now as a "standard local disk" shouldn't be affected anymore? In a quick local test (with an sd* device node though) boot kept working for me. Are you still interested in the warning? Cheers, Chris
