Thanks to network debugging on startup[*], I've found the cause: I could see connection attempts to the proxy at Inria I was using (and I had forgotten about it). So, the issue wasn't due to the change of wifi network, but due to the fact that inria.fr has been down since yesterday. The issue is that Firefox should warn when this occurs instead of remaining silent. A suggestion: instead of displaying a blank page, it should tell which server it is trying to connect to (including proxies), until the page starts to load.
