While I am no longer a member of the TC, and my analysis of the situation consists only of reading this email, I would like to convey a strongly negative immediate reaction to the idea of allowing vendor-specific patch series to remain in the Debian archive. I find Steve's argument that they represent an unhelpful middle ground particularly persuasive. Regards, Bdale
