Hello again, please find attached a brain-dead patch that fixes the issue for me. The patch is so trivial that I am convinced it does not add any copyright to checkrestart, hence no license from me should be needed (in case this turns out to be false, please consider my patch released under the same terms as checkrestart, that is to say GPL-2+).
