Package: dpkg
Version: 1.13.11.0.1
Severity: wishlist
File: /usr/share/man/man1/dpkg.1.gz

man dpkg:
       dpkg --get-selections [package-name-pattern...]
Get list of package selections, and write it to stdout.

Mention if package-name-pattern isn't given, then you aren't going to
see purge, etc. items.

Same on man dpkg-query,

       -l | --list package-name-pattern ...
List packages matching given pattern. If no package-name-pattern
is given, list all packages in /var/lib/dpkg/status.

No, purge, etc. will be excluded then. So mention it.

Also on man dpkg,
auto-select(*): Select packages to install them, and des-
              elect packages to remove them.
Say more about what this means???
