Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

Updating kernel to latest Linus git head and attempting to install the kernel
the process was stuck (both under i386 and amd64) and when I control-c'd out
of it, saw the error message:

Failed to process /etc/kernel/postinst.d at
/var/lib/dpkg/info/linux-image-4.18.0-rc2+.postinst line 391.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
