Package: util-linux Version: 2.32-0.1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I tried to run command `hexdump` on my system and got and error. # hexdump --help -bash: hexdump: command not found Despite of the fact that I have `util-linux` package installed. Every other distribution that I've tryed (RedHat, CentOS, OpenSUSE, gentoo..) `hexdump` tool comes with `util-linux` system package. Expected result should be that running this command will return: # hexdump --help hexdump: invalid option -- '-' usage: hexdump [-bcCdovx] [-e fmt] [-f fmt_file] [-n length] [-s skip] [file ...] hd [-bcdovx] [-e fmt] [-f fmt_file] [-n length] [-s skip] [file ...] -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.14.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages util-linux depends on: ii fdisk 2.30.2-0.1 ii libaudit1 1:2.8.2-1 ii libblkid1 2.32-0.1 ii libc6 2.26-2 ii libmount1 2.30.2-0.1 ii libpam0g 1.1.8-3.6 ii libselinux1 2.7-2 ii libsmartcols1 2.30.2-0.1 ii libsystemd0 236-3 ii libtinfo6 6.1+20180210-4 ii libudev1 236-3 ii libuuid1 2.30.2-0.1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-5 util-linux recommends no packages.
