I'm the maintainer of 'gnucobol' package, and the upstream project
changed its name in 2013 from 'open-cobol'. The actual 'open-cobol'
source package in Debian is orphaned since 2016, and the last entry in
the upstream's ChangeLog is from 2008.
As Mattia Rizzolo suggested (#833460), I think this package should be
removed. My gnucobol package includes a 'open-cobol' dummy package to
ease transition.
The drawback is that user binaries build with open-cobol depend on
libcob1 (from src:open-cobol); they will have to be rebuild to depend on
the new libcob4 (from src:gnucobol).
