There are number of issues with the version of luabind in Debian. The homepage given is no longer available and hence I guess even the upstream sources are no longer available. I have been trying to work with couple of upstream games which use liblua and have been made aware of few different forks which would be more preferable to the current one available in Debian. It may also prove to be helpful in removing some of the lintian errors as can be seen in https://lintian.debian.org/maintainer/robe...@connexer.com.html#luabind It may also be profitable as far as maintainance is concerned if liblua was part of the debian-devel-games team and you being part of the team. I took the liberty of see if there were any reverse-builds of the various build-depends which may hinder having conflicts but didn't see anything which might make it difficult, at least to my untrained eye.
