Hi Ron,there should not be any such auto-connect feature in blueman. You can easily confirm that by stopping blueman-applet and check if it still happens (you can use bluetoothctl to disconnect if that's necessary).
I actually think it is a feature of the headphones and not triggered from your Linux system.
