I still have the package installed; it has the following interesting description: dhcp-dns uses bind's dynamic update features to update a zonefile with hostnames from the dhcp leases file. . Note that this feature is now built in dchp3-server and that this package is abandoned upstream so you might be better off using the former.
It doesn't seem to be working for me, though dhcpd.leases doesn't seem to have the relevant info for some reason.... This brings up section 10.5, which refers to dhcp3-client but dhcpd. Perhaps the latter should be dhcp3-server. Also, even further off-topic, perhaps an explicit note that bind and dhcp refer to older versions of packages and one should use bind9 and dhcp3 would be good. I think that's the case.
