Both DEs tested now in a virtual world, both working ok; esp. speeds up KDE (otherwise uncredibly slow compared to Xfce). I figure desktop-autoloader to work with other DEs (like LXQt, Cinnamon) as well. On my TODO list: (1) disable desktop-autoloader cron job for thin clients (easy). (2) document how to enable and actually use autoloading (some work). Wolfgang
