The log file contains some message concerning incorrect placement of windows
It seems it's not an issue regarding window placement but the window decorator theme, see this message:
** (gtk-window-decorator:10860): WARNING **: 15:11:12.611: Failed to load metacity theme 'Adwaita': Failed to find a valid file for theme 'Adwaita'
Another stuff you could look at is: 1) Open CCSM 2) Search for general options 3) Go to focus & raise behavior 4) Switch the focus prevention level to off 5) Restart your session completely, not only Compiz Could you tell me if that helps? Best regards, Alex.
