Package: apt Version: 0.6.43.3 Severity: normal Hi,
it seems that the Pin-Priority of -1 doesn't do what it should do: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/apt>apt-cache policy tetex-base tetex-base: Installed: (none) Candidate: 3.0-15 Package pin: 3.0-15 Version table: 3.0-15 -1 500 http://debian sid/main Packages 3.0-14 -1 500 http://debian etch/main Packages 2.0.2c-8 -1 500 http://debian sarge/main Packages man apt_preferences says that the priority -1 prevents a version from being installed. But the above output shows that all versions get the same priority and thus the highest version would be installed. Have a look at my preferences file which _explicitly_ lists version 3.0.15 and assigns it the priority -1, however this has not the desired effect.
