Package: debian-installer Version: 9.4 Disk: Debian GNU/Linux 9.4.0 "Stretch" - Official i386 NETINST 20180310-11:55
I have made a USB which has the Debian Installer (NETINST) with the required firmwares needed for my PC and my WiFi USB adapter (D-Link, Realtek RTL8192CU or RTL8188CUS) and I have experienced a symptom: A person who can write quickly can also confuse the framebuffer by pressing <ALT> on the right hand and the <F1> and then <F4> as fast as he/she can. As this happens, the screen updates slowly from framebuffer to console, and then updates quickly from console to framebuffer. A user might have pressed <F1> at the time the computer is updating the screen from framebuffer to console. This causes the framebuffer to be confused by which TTY has to display, and sometimes the framebuffer will display a half of TTY1 and a half of TTY4, and sometimes the <F1> key freezes and he/she has to write or press arrow keys to make some input, but the screen isn't updating, then he/she has to go to TTY4 to get the TTY1 screen. After this issue manifests, he/she has to restart the computer to restart the installation to restore the expected behavior. The framebuffer TTY1 has the Unifont font while the others stay on their own defined fonts (the default one). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Reboot your computer to Debian Installer (Text) 2. Press <ALT> at the right hand and hold it 3. Don't release <ALT> and press on the left hand on the fourth finger the <F1> and on the smallest finger the <F4> as fast as you can 4. When your timings is correct, you will experience confusions in framebuffer.
