Package: sylpheed Version: 1.0.4-1sarge1 Severity: normal Hi!
When an account is configured to "use SSL for POP3 connection", Sylpheed is able to correctly download mail from a POP3s server. But it goes on to do it without any alert, even when the server certificate expires. Consequently, the user is not warned at all about a certificate expiration and could never realize he/she is connecting to a potentially unsafe server. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.32 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages sylpheed depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcompfaceg1 1989.11.11-24 Compress/decompress images for mai ii libgdk-pixbuf2 0.22.0-8.1 The GdkPixBuf image library, gtk+ ii libglib1.2 1.2.10-9 The GLib library of C routines ii libgpg-error0 1.0-1 library for common error values an ii libgpgme11 1.0.2-1 GPGME - GnuPG Made Easy ii libgtk1.2 1.2.10-17 The GIMP Toolkit set of widgets fo ii libldap2 2.1.30-8 OpenLDAP libraries ii libpisock8 0.11.8-10 Library for communicating with a P ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7e-3sarge1 SSL shared libraries ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii libxi6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 X Window System Input extension li ii sylpheed-i18n 1.0.4-1sarge1 Locale data for Sylpheed (i18n sup ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
