Package: sylpheed
Version: 1.0.4-1sarge1
Severity: normal

Hi!

When an account is configured to "use SSL for POP3 connection",
Sylpheed is able to correctly download mail from a POP3s server.
But it goes on to do it without any alert, even when the server
certificate expires.

Consequently, the user is not warned at all about a certificate
expiration and could never realize he/she is connecting to a
potentially unsafe server.
