The version of file(1) we need most be in stable or stable-backports. Once that is there, we send a patch to the DSA metapackage for lindsay (git mirror at https://salsa.debian.org/dsa-team/mirror/debian.org) to ensure the proper version is pulled. Note that I am not sure whether we have/can get backports enabled for lindsay, but if we can, the above outlines the process. Thanks, ~Niels
