This was fixed on 2017-10-03 by commit befaea2, I'm surprised it did
not come up earlier.

I've been making some changes to dnss lately and wanted to advance the
Debian package soon, so another option is to wait ~a couple of days
and just make a more up to date package that includes that fix.
dnss 0.0~git20180415.0.18b15770-1 was uploaded yesterday and it includes
the fix for this problem.
