Thanks for the offer. I had also given backporting a try, and it built fine here, too. I could imagine that others would be intersted in your packages, though. Uploading them to backports.org would be great. I think I would stay with version 3.01 even if the version in sarge gets fixed, just because the background different from the 'paper' now.
