Package: gnome Version: 1:3.22+3 Severity: important After resuming from hibernation the mouse on my laptop behaves really strangely. Sometimes it shows 2-3-4 mouse cursors, sometimes it show tens or even hundreds (well, I didn't count them but the screen was covered with it) of mouse cursors. Generally there is some animation/change in the cursors, so they are appearing and disappearing on a rhytmical basis. This is what I call "trail" as it somewhat resembles the "Mouse trail" function from Windows, where the mouse leaves a trail of 10-20 mouse pointers behind it which shows the path traveled with the mousein the last few seconds. Only in my case those multiple mouse cursors aren't disappearing from themselves, I have to change the content of the windows underneath which on redraw hides these extra pointers. It is really annoying, because as a bonus the extra mouse pointers are showing the previous content beneath them. Eg: if I check a checkbox, there is a certain possibility that exactly that mouse pointer location get memorized, so it will display the mouse pointer above the checkbox together with the checkbox (checked or unchecked) and I can't really be sure about the value of the checkbox unless I move the page or the window to invalidate and redraw that part of the screen. Sometimes the extra cursors disappear if I stop moving the mouse, but mostly it just keeps animating. A reboot solves the problem, but after another hibernation it starts again.
If the above description is not enough I can try to make a short video of the problem (screenshot only shows the single mouse cursor on the proper position). I can reproduce this bug with some 90% reliability. I'm running Debian Stretch (fully updated) on a Lenovo X201 laptop. It has an Intel HD Graphics integrated video card.
