Hi Nico, You mailed the bug#, but I never got the mail, because the BTS doesn't work like that (yet: #37078). Upstream authors are *probably* copyright holders if the copyright file doesn't say otherwise. But there are exceptions, for example when software is written during employment, so its best to document both the author and the copyright holder.
