Followup-For: Bug #743740 With nvidia-libopencl1 providing versioned symbols (I think since they silently added 1.2 support in 349.16-1), this bug can probably be closed.
Any packages built on the buildds will use the free implementation. And since CUDA 9.1, nvidia-opencl-dev also depends on ocl-icd-opencl-dev (since the khronos headers promised more symbols than the nvidia library offered). So it should be really hard nowadays to link something against a libopencl with unversioned symbols. Andreas
