Unfortunately I've had to ask for this to be reverted: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/8563 It turns out that enabling MemoryDenyWriteExecute on MIPS causes any applications which use threads to fail because the MIPS toolchain (still) does not implement PT_GNU_STACK. So this bug is going to require some extra toolchain support (at least glibc and one of gcc/binutils but I can't remember which) to fix. James
