Package: gthumb
Version: 3:3.4.4.1-5
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I'm using gthumb 3.4.4.1 which is the version available in the current Debian
Stable repositories. It seems to have a big memory leak: From the moment I open
the program, every picture I watch seems to stay loaded in the RAM until it's
full and then, the whole system becomes extremely slow.

The only way I found to avoid this is to keep an eye on the system monitor and
close gthumb once in a while before the RAM usage reaches 100%. It seems like
there's been issues like that in the past:

Thanks!
