I have this problem too, but I also can't uninstall either arch of gir1.2-ibus-1.0. I am on Debian Stretch, upgraded to the latest updates, my gir.12-ibus-1.0 is 1.5.14-3. I have :amd64 and :i386 installed, but not configured, and unfortunately I can't uninstall them either:
$ sudo dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq gir1.2-ibus-1.0:i386
