There must be some race condition in the test, for I can reproducibly trigger the error with DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=parallel=2 (the default for my dual core system), but not with any other "parallel" value. With DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=parallel=1 it succeeds, likewise with parallel=3 or 4.
