If I understand correctly, php-markdown itself has no issues in itself nor it its dependencies, you just don't need it anymore, when getting rid of doomed php-apigen? Maybe you could just orphan php-markdown, and one of the people interested in Movim can adopt? (I.e. rename #886184 to "O: ..." and change severity to "normal"?)
