Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal Hi,
please downgrade the priority of hdparm again to optional. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=783664 doesn't provide any compelling reasons why it should be priority standard. I mostly see downsides: - Tweaking the hard disk parameters is not something which really needs to be done manually anymore. - We increase the foot print of our base installations - We unnecessarily start process during the boot The last point is especially true for virtualized or containerized systems which are much more common this days then say 10 years ago. Regards, Michael
