Package: linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8 Version: 2.6.15-6 Severity: important
I have an ASUS A6Q00KM laptop with a Turion64 AMD processor. It has a SiS chipset. If I turn on the laptop when the power cable isn't plugged in, the system hangs during boot. It hangs the first time you try to boot it after the power cable has been plugged in, after that it boots normally. When it hangs you can hold the power button for a couple of seconds to turn it off (normal ATX behaviour..). There is no other method to reboot it. When it hangs, the final screen displayed look like this (I wrote off the screen manually on a different computer): ohci_hcd 0000:00:03.0: irq 18, io mem 0xfebff000 hub 1-0:1.0: USB hub found hub 1-0:1.0: 3 ports detected GSI 19 sharing vector 0xC1 and IRQ 19 ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:03.1[B] -> GSI 21 (level, low) -> IRQ 19 ohci_hcd 0000:00:03.1: OHCI Host Controller ohci_hcd 0000:00:03.1: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 2 ohci_hcd 0000:00:03.1: irq 19, io mem 0xfebfe000 hub 2-0:1.0: USB hub found hub 2-0:1.0: 3 ports detected GSI 20 sharing vector 0xC9 and IRQ 20 ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:03.2[C] -> GSI 22 (level, low) -> IRQ 20 ohci_hcd 0000:00:03.2: OHCI Host Controller ohci_hcd 0000:00:03.2: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 3 ohci_hcd 0000:00:03.2: irq 20, io mem 0xfebfd000 hub 3-0:1.0: USB hub found hub 3-0:1.0: 2 ports detected r8169 Gigabit Ethernet driver 2.2LK loaded GSI 21 sharing vector 0xD1 and IRQ 21 ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:0b.0[A] -> GSI 19 (level, low) -> IRQ 21 eth0: RTL8169 at 0xffffc2000000cc00, 00:15:f2:22:8f:0f, IRQ 21 GSI 22 sharing vector 0cD9 and IRQ 22 ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:03.3[D] -> GSI 23 (level, low) -> IRQ 22 ehci_hcd 0000:00:03.3: EHCI Host Controller System locks up here. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-amd64-k8 Locale: LANG=da_DK, LC_CTYPE=da_DK (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8 depends on: ii e2fsprogs 1.38+1.39-WIP-2005.12.31-1 ext2 file system utilities and lib ii initramfs-too 0.51 tools for generating an initramfs ii module-init-t 3.2.2-2 tools for managing Linux kernel mo linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8 recommends no packages. -- debconf information: linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/preinst/initrd-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/preinst/lilo-initrd-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: true linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/preinst/elilo-initrd-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: true linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/preinst/failed-to-move-modules-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/preinst/abort-install-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/postinst/create-kimage-link-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: true linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/postinst/depmod-error-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: false linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/postinst/old-initrd-link-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: true linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/postinst/old-dir-initrd-link-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: true linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/preinst/lilo-has-ramdisk: linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/postinst/kimage-is-a-directory: linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/postinst/bootloader-test-error-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/postinst/bootloader-error-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/postinst/old-system-map-link-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: true linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/preinst/bootloader-initrd-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: true linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/preinst/overwriting-modules-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: true linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/preinst/abort-overwrite-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: * linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/preinst/already-running-this-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/prerm/removing-running-kernel-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: true linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/prerm/would-invalidate-boot-loader-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: true linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8/postinst/depmod-error-initrd-2.6.15-1-amd64-k8: false -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
