Could you open an upstream bug about that particular point to propose the change and explain why? I prefer to see the answer of the upstream developers to be sure the decision has no side effect for other users as I'm not an expert of the Wall module.
FYI, a new Compiz release has been published on Debian, could you tell us if the issue of this bug still appear?
