Package: network-manager-openvpn Version: 1.8.0-2 Severity: normal After importing an ovpn file and saving, connection fails. By investigating I found that the field for the secret user key is empty, although it had been filled before saving. Obviously the key entry for some reason is not written into the network configuration file.
Using the original ovpn file with openvpn on the command line works just fine. Not sure whether this is relevant, but the vpn secret key does not have a password -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.14.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages network-manager-openvpn depends on: ii adduser 3.117 ii libc6 2.26-6 ii libglib2.0-0 2.54.3-2 ii libnm0 1.10.4-1+b1 ii network-manager 1.10.4-1+b1 ii openvpn 2.4.4-2 network-manager-openvpn recommends no packages. network-manager-openvpn suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
