Hello. I have a patch for the bug you reported against tiff2pdf. I
have prepared a new package and will upload it after the current
version in unstable transitions to etch (which should happen be
today). I apologize for the delay in handling this problem.

In the interim, you can work around this problem by using "convert"
from ImageMagick to create a PDF from this image.

Note to others following this bug: this bug is not security related.
The problem is that tiff2pdf was ignoring the alpha channel in the
image file. It wasn't potentially reading non-existent parts of the
file or anything like that; it just wasn't reading the alpha channel.
I'm not sure why the original submitter got a segmentation fault, but
I have not been able to reproduce this on any system having tried with
various versions of libtiff including a plain sarge system.
