>From upstream issue[1], there is a lot confirmation of such a replacement (libcurl4-gnutls-dev -> libcurl4-openssl-dev ) result in much low and constant memory consumption. though there's not a real _FIX_. the former patch do works as a temporary workaround. I hope this patch can be merged, and we can get a working transmission in debian.
