Package: w3m Version: 0.5.3-35 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
Following a recent dist-upgrade, w3m has become unusable. w3m immediately segfaults in response to many hotkeys, including "/" "?" "Esc" "q" "S" etc. During the dist-upgrade, libgpm2 was upgraded from version 1.20.4-6.2+b1 to 1.20.7-4, and this seems to have caused this bug. Downgrading libgpm2 back to version 1.20.4-6.2+b1 makes w3m usable again. The error message on exit is always simply: "Segmentation fault" Downgrading the libgpm2 mitigates this bug. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (901, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.8.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages w3m depends on: ii libc6 2.26-4 ii libgc1c2 1:7.4.2-8 pn libgpm2 <none> ii libssl1.1 1.1.0g-2 ii libtinfo5 6.0+20171125-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-5 Versions of packages w3m recommends: ii ca-certificates 20170717 Versions of packages w3m suggests: pn cmigemo <none> ii curl 7.57.0-1 ii dict 1.12.1+dfsg-4 pn dict-wn <none> pn dictd <none> pn libsixel-bin <none> ii man-db 2.7.6.1-4 ii mime-support 3.60 ii mpv 0.27.0-2+b3 pn w3m-el <none> ii w3m-img 0.5.3-35 ii wget 1.19.3-2 ii xdg-utils 1.1.2-1 ii xsel 1.2.0-4 -- no debconf information
