Package: network-manager-openvpn Version: 1.8.0-2 Severity: important Hey there,
since yesterdays upgrade of both network-manager-openvpn and network-manager- openvpn-gnome, both from version 1.2.8-2 to version 1.8.0-2, all openvpn connections don't work anymore. This is the syslog output: Jan 28 12:59:10 <mybook> NetworkManager[640]: <info> [1517140750.8035] audit: op="connection-activate" uuid="16b19941-d547-4ffb-81b6-ef782b43ca1c" name="<somevpn>" pid=1083 uid=1000 result="success" Jan 28 12:59:10 <mybook> NetworkManager[640]: <info> [1517140750.8139] vpn- connection[0x55eef8410180,16b19941-d547-4ffb-81b6-ef782b43ca1c,"<somevpn>",0]: Started the VPN service, PID 2941 Jan 28 12:59:10 <mybook> NetworkManager[640]: <info> [1517140750.8226] vpn- connection[0x55eef8410180,16b19941-d547-4ffb-81b6-ef782b43ca1c,"<somevpn>",0]: Saw the service appear; activating connection Jan 28 12:59:10 <mybook> gnome-shell[1083]: Invalid VPN service type (cannot find authentication binary) Jan 28 12:59:10 <mybook> gnome-shell[1083]: Invalid VPN service type (cannot find authentication binary) Jan 28 12:59:10 <mybook> NetworkManager[640]: <error> [1517140750.8792] vpn- connection[0x55eef8410180,16b19941-d547-4ffb-81b6-ef782b43ca1c,"<somevpn>",0]: Failed to request VPN secrets #3: No agents were available for this request. I suppose, there is something missing in the upgrade. Perhaps it's just a symbolic link. I didn't manage to fix it, yet.
